A Fellow Enthusiast

I know, I know, I missed a week. So let me start out with an apology, I’m sorry. Okay, now moving on. This week’s post contains the Volvos of a fellow enthusiast and swedespeed.com forum member. Chase sent me a message interested in the Volvo of the Week series. Unfortunately, our road trip did not take us in his direction. He was, however, kind enough to send some info about himself and his love for Volvos. Below are the current Volvos in his stable: A black 2018 XC60 T5 Inscription (just picked up last month) and a white 2017 S60 T5 Inscription.

Two Volvo's

Chase sent along this piece on his passion for Volvo:

My grandparents were customers of Park Place Mercedes starting in 1999
when I was in first grade. That is when my passion for luxury vehicles
started, they drove different brands throughout the years but never a
Volvo. I purchased the S80 in 2014 from Park Place Volvo and fell in
love with it and everything Volvo. They purchased their first XC60
shortly after that and also loved the brand and the car itself. We then
decided leasing was the best option for us both, so in January, I got
the S60 and in May they leased their new XC60. We love both of the
cars and have no plans of ever driving any other brand. I enjoy having
something that is not extremely common and Volvo seems to be the
perfect balance of luxury, performance, and usability. I think their
cars have reached this perfect intersection of appeal.

I absolutely agree with him in that, I too became enamored with Volvo because they are not incredibly common and have a good balance of luxury and performance.

He also sent along these photos of his two previous Volvos. The first one being a 2013 XC60 3.2 Platinum, and the second a 2011 S80 3.2 Inscription.

Volvo S80

Thanks again Chase for participating in Joe’s Volvo of the Week! Also, I just want to put it out there that I have always wanted a V8 S80 and hope to one day own one.

Until next week!
